Strength Lunch

👥 Group class, 60 min

M, Tu, W, Th, F 12:00 pm

Get strong over the lunch hour! Workouts build strength and muscle mass (and empowerment, pride, confidence) through barbell lifts, free weights, cable machines, and other forms of resistance. Beginners will learn how to lift with coach guidance and group encouragement. (A little intimidated and apprehensive? Never touched a weight before? You're invited and welcome! Let's get started together.) Join any time and attend 2-3x weekly to experience strength improvements and establish a routine. Can't stay the whole hour? Workouts can be shortened to fit your time and any strength work done is better than none. Becoming strong for life begins here.

(Prefer 1:1 training? Do Personal Training sessions.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a gym member?

Nope! Gym guests/non-members are welcome to come in for coached training with me. I'll prop open the door for you if you sign up. (If the door isn't open when you arrive, please knock.)

Gym membership is recommended if you're coming in regularly and want to train at different times. Members of the RCF Barbell Clubs can freely access the gym 24/7. (Note: members only of the RCF Main Gym on 11th Ave are guests/non-members of the RCF Barbell Clubs.)

🎁 Get 50% off your first month of gym membership! If we've trained together before and you tell me you'd like to join the gym I'll hook you up with that discount.

Can I walk in without signing up?

Signing up is a mutual courtesy. If you don't sign up I may not be present to coach you. Walking in after 7pm is especially discouraged because if nothing else is booked on my calendar I go home for dinner, so if you plan to come in after 7pm please sign up in advance. I'd love to coach you if I'm expecting you!

Can I pay on arrival?

Payments are made in advance through signing up. If sign-up has closed, and you've decided to try walking in (not recommended), and I am present to coach you (no guarantees), then ask me in person how you can pay on arrival.

How else can I pay?

All payments are made online here. For the ease of my bookkeeping, please no cash or other modes of payment.

What if I arrive late or need to leave early?

A session is a window of time to receive coaching, and we'll aim to get the most out of the time we have. However if you're running so late it no longer feels worth attending please email me so I can stop waiting for you and refund ~97% of your payment. I'll look forward to seeing you next time. ❤

Something came up. Can I reschedule?

Yes! If your session start time hasn't passed yet, in your appointment confirmation email there is a link to "manage" your booking and reschedule it. If your session time has already passed you can schedule a new session (while you wait for me to refund ~97% of your missed session).

Can I stay afterward to continue working out on my own?

Members of the RCF Barbell Clubs can freely use the gym 24/7. So can anyone with a pre-purchased Day Pass.

For guests/non-members I am responsible for your safety and activities in the gym during coaching sessions. After your session I may be responsible for others or need to leave. But I'm glad you want to use the gym! If you're not quite ready to become a gym member you can pre-purchase a Day Pass to freely use the gym on your own.

What if I have an injury?

We can probably find plenty of exercises you can still do! It's an opportunity to keep getting better and stronger in all the ways that are not affected by the injury. Continuing to train as closely to normal as possible and making progress in all the remaining avenues feels way better than stopping completely and then having to spend weeks or months rebuilding back up to where you left off. If you're not sure what your modified training could look like let's chat about it.

Is there a physical therapist you recommend?

Absolutely! Dr. Jeremy Kirschner

Training Programs & Remote Coaching

Interested in custom training programming? Accelerate your strength progress with training tailored to your needs and goals. Ongoing adjustments ensure the time you spend training is as effective, efficient, and satisfying as possible.

My programming includes:

Ready to get started?

  1. First you'll tell me about yourself.
  2. Then I will follow up with you within 1-2 business days.
  3. If I believe we are a good fit and I can help you then we'll get started as soon as possible. We'll discuss the general plan and do some initial tuning before the first week of programming is delivered.

Get Started

⛔️ I am currently closed to new inquiries for custom training programming & remote coaching. I plan to reopen inquiries in the future. Check back in a few weeks. (In-person coaching & classes are open!)

In the meantime, if you're brand new to strength training, I recommend getting started with Before the Barbell for a free, high quality 8-week training program that includes instructional videos demonstrating how to do all its exercises.
